Mud Fight

Okay Kathy, here goes -- to the best of my
recollection it was a Friday night, amid Olympics
and we were all dressed in our whites. It had
rained alot, and there was ahuge puddle in between
the tennis courts and the flagpole/line-up area/
canteen. I believe words were exchanged between
jeff Music/Linda Browdy about one's clean and crisp
appearance. I don't remember the details, they should
say that, I DO remember many Mar-Lin-ites getting
involved, and then while everyone was showering, the
hot water stopped.
Patti Winer (Gold) lives in Rhode Island too, and runs
the aquatics program at the JCC in Providence. My mother,
Selma Penzell lives in Rhode Island, and I called her
about the site. We talked and will probably go to a local
cyber-cafe to get on-line for a Sunday chat within
the next couple of weeks. I don't know if you guys remember
my cousins Bob & Janice Krug. Janice is married
and living in Memphis, and Bob is doctor and is getting
marri

Dirty Trivia

Can anyone tell me the year and after what event did we have a whole camp
mud fight. This was the most fun alot of us had at Mar-Lin.....(well,
trips to the boathouse aside)
Linda Brody was responsible for starting it.

SCHWARTZ, YOU HOME YET? I'M STILL IN THE PARKING LOT WAITING TO GET

Who would have guessed?

My brother told me about the site, before I got the card in the mail. I
wonder how many other camps/campers have this kind of a
bond even after all these years. All/most of us seem to have a specual
place in our hearts for Mar-Lin. Spoke to Linda Browdy Feinberg not long
ago and she
is responding to treatments, and is continuing with treatments and
keeping her fingers crossed. Like Barbara said, I think Craig is at
Syracuse. I don't know
if Linda is on line, but I'm sure hearing from many of you would help to
boost her spirits. I'm alive and (relatively) well and living in Rhode
Island. Any
chance of folks getting together in '99 for a 50th Birthday ffor Mar-Lin?
I'm not on-line, but I'll pop in from time to time when I'm visiting
someone with
a computer. Best to all, this is AMAZING! Oh, and hi to Kathy Stone. If
you still have my address in Rhode Island, deop me a line with yours. I

Hi to all my old friends

I can't believe that after all these years,... the beat goes on. No one
can explain the friendships we all have from good ole Camp Mar-Lin. Glad
to hear everyone is alive and kicking. Barbara - give me regards to the
Browdys - When are you and Barry getting yourselves up to visit. Do you
think we can russell up other Cabin 1ers to join us??? Please call me,
you know how to get me....

tryouts for You're a Good Man Charlie Brown

I would like to try our for You're a good Man Charlie Brown. I don't know
if I want to be Lucy again. Maybe I could be Snoopy if Chuck wouldn't
mind. I think I can go and "fetch" my script from 1969. I still remember
some of my part and most of Snoopy's songs. If Mr. Moss would reprise his
role as CB I would be most appreciative to act with a real celebrity.

P.S. Does the younger Mr. Rainin have an email address where he can be
reached?

Who Knew?

Wow! What a great site & so many old friends are active here, too! Thank
you. I look forward to getting reaquainted with so many through this
site. Oh, and to Jeff Berger- Doing a try-out for "Charlie Brown" after a
chuck wagon dinner can be dangerous to all the participants health. you
just never know what sounds you may hear rising above your piano (if you
know what I mean).

AND NO ONE IS HERE, WHAT GOOD IS IT? IF ANYONE CAN GIVE ME A REASONABLE
REASON WHY MY PARENTS HAVEN'T PICKED ME UP YET, I WOULD APPRECIATE IT..OH
WELL, IN THE MEANWHILE, I'LL GO SEE IF THERE'S ANYTHING LEFT IN THE

hi everybody

Hi everyone!
Just a note to say that I try to log on occasionally. Danny asked that I
update you on Ethel and Charlie. Ethel has been ill with woman's medical
problems and is not over them unfortunately. As for Charlie - he has been
having terrible heart problems and was unable to make his granddaughter's
(Linda's daughter's) Bat Mitzvah. Believe it or not, Linda is not too
well either. Linda's son is off to college - Syracuse I think. Sorry to
bring on the bad news. I will keep you posted if I hear anything else. I
don't mean to be MS. Gloom and Doom. HOpe you are all well. I want to see
some younger folk too. Danny I need to send you some pics to add to your
collage. Jeff Rainin, where the hell are you? Send me (us) your email
address. Fun, friends and healthy living to all.

Barbara

attention counselors: we will be spraying for flying insects today, if
you notice any strange behavior from any of the campers, send them to the

the chuck wagon food tastes funny, just shrug it off, and tell the kids
we bought the dogs from a local farmer..

glad to hear the "girls" have finally given up on the Tituniks. Why
couldn't this have happened thirty or so years ago? Also glad to hear
that Chaz is still taking advantage of his campers and that Marty is
still trying to become a ball player. One question- why is almost
everyone in the bunk pictures wearing those ugly black or brown shoes? I
know it was a long time ago, but I think they had sneakers back then.
